Once again Hade Edge Band will be performing their annual Proms concert on behalf of the Friends of Holme Valley Hospital in Holmfirth Civic Hall on Saturday 23rd September in the evening.

Hade Edge Band will be entertaining the crowds in Greenhead Park, Huddersfield on Sunday afternoon the 13th August. Please come along and support this important event to keep music in the park alive in Kirklees.
In September on Sunday 17th Hade Edge Band will once again be performing at the Wetherby Band Stand from 2:30pm. A perfect setting alongside the river and a very pleasant park for visitors to come along enjoy the sights of Wetherby and listen to a brass band.

We are holding a Spring Concert in Holmfirth Civic Hall on the evening of Sunday 18th June. We are very pleased to have a guest soloist form Geneva Instruments, Thomas Fountain joining the band for an evening of entertainment. Congratulations to all the players who competed in the above contest on Sunday 21st May . B Band performance was brilliant under the directorship of Gary Perrin. The B band coming 3rd in the hymn turn and 2nd in the Test piece taking the Holme Valley Cup. The Senior Band under the directorship of Jonathan Beatty came 1st in the Test Piece and 3rd in the Hymn Tune. Solo awards went to our Flugel player – Joel Kirk and Euphonium player, David Smith with our Bass section consisting of 4 player won the best BASS’s award of the contest.
The band are pleased to announce that Leisa Mallalieu-Ingman has joined the band on Principal Cornet. Amy Ellershaw has joined on Repiano.
Following the departure of our Solo Horn, James Turner, Paul Kirk who was on First Horn has now moved to Solo Horn, Carolanne Duncan has moved to First Horn and the band are please to welcome Georgia Kirk on Second Horn.
