This concert is to be held to mark the 70th anniversary of the coach crash involving Bolsterstone Male Voice Choir in October 1947. The choir were on their way to a contest taking place in Holmfirth Civic Hall when the coach incurred braking problems on the Dunford Road into Holmfirth. This resulted in the coach crashing into buildings at the bottom of Dunford Road killing 9 choir members and injuring many others. Casualties were taken to Holme Valley Hospital in Holmfirth to be treated. The choir would like Hade Edge Band to join them in remembering the 70th anniversary in October 1947 of this disaster and a concert will take place in Holmfirth Parish Church with the choir and the band performing. It is hoped that there will be people from the choir who had relatives lost/injured in the coach crash along with people form the Holme Valley community who came to the choirs rescue.

A concert not to be missed and an opportunity to learn more of the history of Holmfirth in 1947..

Tickets will be on sale shortly- please contact Robert on 01484 361671 or 07512 600602 for further details.

The monies raised will be split equally between the British Legion and the Friends of Holme Valley Hospital. The Choir, Band and Church have agreed to give their time/facilities for free in an act of remembrance on the 111th NOVEMBER.
